Curious about Moritz Rusche'

Yes, I'm still curious about Moritz Rusche', believed to be an Austrian painter.  If you have any credible information please e-mail me and identify the source of your information.  Thanks.

New Find/Call to Art Experts and Art Historians

This time I am not the artist.  To all you art buffs out there, and art history experts, I have acquired a painting signed Rusche' in the lower right hand corner.   I believe it was painted by Moritz Rusche (1888-1969).  I'll describe it briefly.  It appears to be a still life scene depicting a study with a burning candle prominent in the painting (focal point), a book on the table, and an oriental figurine in the background.  It's very traditional oil and the framing is a gold frame.  It has a very classical look.  If you have any knowledge of this painting or its artist, please share it with me.  What might be the value range for this painting on today's market?

Mary Ola Miller is closing her art gallery in Panama City, Florida.

Mrs. Mary Ola Miller is closing her gallery in Panama City, Florida, USA.  She was one of the first people to handle my note cards and  lend support to this artist.  She will be missed on the art scene since she did so much to enable struggling artists.  Her gallery was a landmark, of sorts, since it opened in 1966.  Click on her name for the video taken by a News Herald photojournalist.
Mrs. Miller is one of my favorite friends and I wish her good luck and a pleasant future.

A Spring Day

This was a beautiful day. I was fortunate enough to get outdoors and enjoy the mild, and almost perfect temperatures, not too hot, not too cold, and very little wind. I photographed some multi-colored, tulips at the side of the house and some freshly planted flowers at the mailbox. In the near future, I hope to paint them from different angles and have some new paintings. This was not a travel day for me, since I love to travel. Also, I enjoy staying home for awhile and doing necessary things about the house. Please look for my new paintings, coming soon.

It's now April, 2008

It's now April and we still have stormy weather.  I have been trying to find time to paint but it becomes increasingly difficult.    Anyway, I'm glad Spring has officially arrived even if the weather is still cloudy and gloomy.  My art helps to make me think of the flowers of Spring.
