Elizabeth Gawronski at Funky Fridays on July 10th, 2009 from 4-8 PM

It was great to be at Artisans Cove for Funky Fridays. The weather was a bit warm but it was a fun day anyway. One of the nice things about going to festivals is that you get to meet some warm and wonderful people. Such is the folk artist I met who goes by the name of She She. Her real name is Sheila, but she told me to call her She She. It was nice to talk with her and to know that she had come here all the way from Birmingham, Alabama. It took her one hour to set up her booth. She can be contacted at (205) 991-5775, address is: 4670 Valleydale Road, B'HAM 35242
and her card says, "I am Proud to be AN AMERICAN FOLK ARTIST." If you love folk art, give her a jingle.

The weather was beautiful but a bit warm for the Funky Fridays Festival at Artisans Cove in Hampton Cove, Alabama. There was a crowd there, mostly for the snow cones and the free jambalaya. Hampton Cove is just over the mountain from where I live so it was just a hop, skip, and a jump to get there. In all, it was a fun day. One of the great things about going to festivals is that you get to meet wonderful new people. I was fortuate to meet a folk artist who goes by the name She She. Her real name is Sheila, but she said call her She She. Her business card said Folk Art by "She She" and her home is in Birmingham, Alabama 35242. It took her one hour, just to set up her art booth. I enjoyed talking with her and admired some of her art work. Her card also said "I am proud to be an American Folk Artist." With her permission, I told her I would post information about her on the internet.
